#1 A12 Trouble
Superman Posted on: 2006/5/16 15:08
Can anyone help me. On my A12 inley manifold, there is a valve directly below the carby. What is it for and where do I hook the hose from it to. I think it may have something to do with why I cant get my car running properly. Please help me.

The valve directly below the carb is the Positive Crankcase Ventilation [PCV] valve & it is connected via a moulded hose to the pipe that sticks out of the side of the block at the back. This hose is still available new from Nissan as I have bought one relatively recently.[ but at close to $40, it's not particularly cheap]

There should be another hose from under the stock air filter housing to the fitting on the top of the rocker cover at the back. These two hoses are both part of the crankcase ventilation system.
