a14 alternator on a12 (problem)

i have installed today on my a12 one alternator from one a14, and the charge light is always on.
Is this a big problem? And wend i turn off the engine , he stays on 2 seconds. what do you guys think of this?

are you running an internal voltage regulator or external... you may be running an internal reg alternator with the external regulator still hooked up an not looped the wire on the loom, see the tech guide.
