I seen it. It was formerly Kev Rowley's car and he sold it to the guy that owns it now. Bloody awesome car in the flesh

Im gonna get myself a copy!!! Kevs coupe (originally) is awsome! my bro was lucky enough to go for a drive in it - he says the suspension is set up well with no wheel spin at all - it just pulls hard! this was one of the first cars with the injected turbo conversion done, i think he did it in 1998. Its got a serious engine build now apparentley - guess ill have to read up on it in the mag.

He was at the Broadwater carpark on saturday night. He was with a Stanza and a 120Y.

I like the lookl of the drop tank hanging under the back like it does, very tough looking.

I think it's generally agreed that I was the first CA18 in a 1200 conversion in Australia in 1994. Although it was only a DE until 1997. But ca18detman did his DET in 1995 or 1996.

But not to detract from Kevs work. He's the Queensland expert for sure.

It had a head gasket related mishap out at QR which prompted the engine rebuild. From what I can remember it now has forged pistons, ball bearing T28 turbo and a reasonable amount of headwork. The new owner, Jonathan, has also fitted some very tasty R spec rubber. Kev's car was featured in a magazine several years ago too. I can't remember which one but.

it said in the fast fours right up that it out broke a porche 930 turbo in the ADR test. that is impressive at any cost

It was featured in 'Zoom' Magazine. I have that edition and it was that article and the one on Andrew Dennis' (CA18DETMAN) that got me started on the CA conversion.
Kevin has helped me a number of times and knows the conversion inside out. Shame he sold his 1200, but he has a very nice R30 (I think) skyline now with an RB25 Neo engine conversion which is every bit as neat.

It's an R31 2 door. I think they are called a HR31 but I could be wrong. I have very fond memories of these racing around Bathurst.
As always, Kev's engine conversion is very neat.

Dattodude - sorry mate i was unaware of your conversion, but now i know! must be a good feeling knowing that you and others potentially started a very worth while style of car building. Something that us young guys can learn and build for ourselves.
