Hey guys, time has come to order some springs for the Front of my LSeries 1200. Car will remain on the road for now but will see the track more than enough to warrant good suspension.
I have 280zx Struts with a 2.5" (65mm ID) coilover setup. Using Koni inserts (adjustable reds) also will be running Nolathane bushings front and rear. I also have noltec strut tops and adjustable stanza lca's. Also using a 19mm 120y sway bar. Rear will be using the leafs i already have which are about 20% stiffer than stock, I have noltec bushings for rear and haveing some plastic front bushings and alloy shackle bushings made up at the moment. I have Koni reds for the rear also. What spring rate would you guys suggest for the front? Im thinking around 200lb?

that sounds like an awesome set up but all I can offer from my tiny brain is that king springs have 25% increase in spring rate over standard springs, if you know what the standard spring rate is then you can work out what the king spring rate is, does that make sense at all?? if not king springs can custom make any spring to suit your needs.
Also Nolathane don't make 120Y swaybar bushes but Noltec do. What do you mean by adjustable lower control ams

200lb's not that heavy ..... maybe up towards 250 - 275 lb ?? you should also consider the additional weight of the L series and what you should be looking at to cater for it ??
........ c'mon some of the racers out there must have some opinions ??

Cheers guys, this is all happening this week, ive got the coilovers all welded on and the tops machined to match my coilovers. Also got brand new vented discs and rebuilt my calipers.
Anyone used Lj castor rods? What bushings have you used? Blofly, Craig from Maddat makes stanza adj lower control arms, they allow you to adjust the width of the front track, they are high quality, also tig welded for strength.

Yeah they are off Nexcent website who sell his bits, price wise about $300 exchange but you'd have to call him because of postage etc.
They go to about a inch longer than stock stanza lca's, which equates to about 2.5

boof, you have camber tops!!!!! don't waste your money on these things if you have camber tops. if anything just extend your LCA's and use the adjustment in the tops to get your desired amount. i have made some in the past that are adjustable with a left and right thread so you can adjust them on the car. i have all the tooling if you're interested.
on the spring rate thing, boofhead was right 250 - 275 lb springs are not uncommon on track going road cars.

So its looking to be from anywhere from 225lb +
Also taking into account the stiffness of the 120y swaybar which is apparently another 45% stiffer over the 1200 bar? The only reason im going for as much adjustment as possible is the amount of camber i actually loose with the 280zx struts which is a fair bit compared to stanza struts. Also then i can adjust front track. You can view topic.
