audm, jdm, usdm differences?

Came across this picture the other day and I'm thinking about buying one, popping in a nice motor etc.
anyways trying to figure out what the differences were between the various ones. USDM are all 4 headlights, datsuns, AUDM seem to be 2 headlights, datsuns, and then the JDM ones are both (like this and this) and sold as nissans? really confused right now not to mention the different nomenclature, nissan sunny's, datsun utes, datsun 620, b120 etc. anyone shed some light on this? just want to make sure i don't go buying the wrong thing. i want to see how close i can get to the original one, but without the ghetto ![]()

That's a Nissan B122, a "Sunny Truck". Basically the minitruck version of the Datsun 1200 (B110) car.
There were no USA model for truck. Never sold here new. 4-headlight models are a totally different kind of truck. All Datsun B-series vehicles only have 2-headlights, in all countries. Read this: Datsun 1200 Production Models. By the way, you can buy one in better condition than that, just go to Aoba Auto -- the Sunny Truck Shop. They have several for sale right now.

the b120 and the 620 aren't the same (aside from the obvious grill/headlight difference)?
i would have sworn they were the same as this

nah totally different... in every way.
620 is a pickup, b120 is a ute, and the differences dont end there

crap i must have been squinting before to make myself believe they were the same, the lines are pretty obvious. i was hoping it was like my gt-s where it was just bumpers and little things.
so anyone importing these to the states like all the skylines i see around now? damn i'm glad i didn't run out and buy one on the weekend, but this sucks, i was really looking forward to this.

Most of those late-model Skylines are illegally imported, except some 1994 models which were legally done. Buy one at your risk, Customs can show up at your house and confiscate it, and you don't get the car or your money back.
But no worries with the older models. We can import 25-year old or more vehicles into USA. That means 1981 and older.

Hi lll, don't stress so much. Any "Sunny Truck" would be a treat. The pre-71s are sub-subcompact, but the 71-up (B120/B122) are all based on the B110 Datsun 1200, so parts are available in US (except for body parts).
The B122 is just a newer version starting I think in 1978, it has larger suspension and brakes from B210, but other wise nearly identical. Yes, in South America LHD sunny trucks were sold, and even manufactured in Ecuador. But a RHD one would be more quaint in this country ... give me RHD! You can view topic.
