VN Disk Brake Conversion

I've been reading through the tech articles (again!) and trying to get ideas on a brake conversion I'm trying to achieve.
I read about 1200rallycar's toyota calipers and Pintara disks done onto a Stanza strut, and thought somone might be able to point me in the right direction. I'm trying to get a set of VN Commodore rotors & calipers onto my stanza struts. I've got the VN LSD in the rear end and want to keep the commodore stud pattern and bigger brakes all round. After discussing it with an engineer and the wrecker, the stanza strut doesn't seem long enough (bout 25mm short) to just make a spacing or different size bearings to get the VN rotor on. Engineers solution was to cut the VN stub axle off and weld that straight onto the stanza strut. Prob is wrecker said this would need to be engineered, xray tested & expenive to be roadworthy. Does anyone know, or would anyone be able to pass me on to someone who could give me some good advice? Cheers in advance for your help. PS talking QLD so QLD Transport Chris

id start with 180b struts as the calipers bolt straight on to them, then go from there
there are some members that have changed to commo stud pattern, just cant remember who

i used a series 3 bluebird strut and the vl turbo disks bolt straight on.
u just have to remove the rubber dust cap from the inner bearing on the discs.. then all u have to do is make up a bracket for ur calipers to fit... u can use the 1200 lca's and steering arms if u get a spacing ring made up to locate the bottom of the strut to the smaller steering arm.. the bolt spacing should be exactly the same...

Sweet i shal have to try this for my new front brakes. i have a vl turbo at home so i will have to borrow some parts of it for a wile. i think that vl turbo and vn brakes are the same. that braket looks preety easy to make what thickness steel did you use tappet ? and what did you use for a dust seal on the inner bearing?
