just picked up 5 speed

I got it in a sedan with a14 twin su's extractors and the 5 speed for $400 out of the Quokka but its not a dogleg shift pattern are these anygood

If it's a Datsun gearbox, then it sounds like it's a later 60 series type with conventional shift pattern. The earlier ones were dogleg & both are overdrive in top.
Yes, these are very good gearboxes.

chris i have to correct you not all 5 speed boxes were overdrive in 5th most early dog leg were 1:1 ratio they closed the gap between 2nd and 3rd making them a close ratio .
