Hi guys the new engine is getting closer
I was out at engine machinist today the new block has been sleeved and bored to take the new forgies. The head has been serviced and cleaned up. I spent a few hours opening and smoothing the combustion chamber. We also removed the Orings as will be running 2mm HKS MLS headgasket instead of the copper gasket I had with old engine. All I have to do this week is reasemble the head with new tomei valve springs, procams and pullies. Next weekend Ill be assembling the bottom end with Venolia forgies Argo rods and a few other little goodies Im aiming to have it ready for run in and dyno in 3 weeks.Ill be taking a few pictures this week as I put it all together. I have taken some pictures of the new HKS GTRS ![]() I have been slowly purchasing parts as I could afford them over the last 18 months it sure does get $$$ but will be worth it once the car hits the track and (hopefully)creams the opposition.

Thanks woody I dont think the 1200 will be beating steves VL I was like nearly 3 seconds behind him last year.
Still should give him a good run for his money though. If I turned my 1200 in a full sports sedan id say would be very close. But in saying that I would rather have a quick full steel 1200 that is pretty low-medium budget and kicks a lot of big budget cars ass ![]() Mildman anytime mate feel free to drop in if your up this way its only like a 12 hr drive ROFL
