1200 Coupe rear wheel bearings

Hi.
My 1200 Coupe keeps going through rear axle bearings, first the seal goes & drops oil. I am only getting 10-15000 kms out of a set. The car has done 700,000kms, so could there be a problem with the housing?. Any help most appreciated.

734,000 to be exact. (only parts of the car have done this). I've had it for 18 years, and its my daily driving car.
