Based on this...

I estimate that an a12 weighs about 86kgs.

yeah.. So from the kW/kg I can determine weight. We know an a12 is 69 hp (52KW) at the flywheel. With 0.6 kW/kg, the weight is 52/0.6 = 86kgs.

Simple maths

ps..I trust Ferrol Errol for everything except getting Excel chart label descriptions correct.

Wonder what the weight difference between an original A12 + gearbox & CA18 + Gearbox is?

Anyone know?

My bf and a friend lifted an a15 onto my ute easy enough. considering how light 1200s and 120ys are you wouldnt expect the engine to weigh much more then it does??

I've got a ca+box and a a12+box sitting in the shed. I don't have a set of weighing scales that'll handle them though....
