he could do it with an MSD ignition setup or any ignition only computer.
Why ditch EFI??? In my opinion EFI out powers carby due to the precise tuning you can do... Thats my 2cents Damo

Why not go Quad Throttle bodies instead of carbies if you want to do something different. I would not bother with carbies, just like demojob said.

I have seen a CA with twin 45 webers
they used a electric dizzy out of a subaru or somethings bolted onto the bracket that holds the cam angle sensor the carbies where just bolted on to an adapter thet had been made and started from the first join in the efi manifold the bonus of that was when they decided to go efi all they had to do was refit the injectors at the head and they had quads lot of work and you would need to get the bits at a cheap price and do all the mods yours self to pay for the price of tuning if you cant do the work yourself buy cheap efi

Wow, that sounds like lots of work and money is involved. I guess i'll go for the EFI.

yea i agree, go efi, i payed $1500 for a haltech e6x fuel/ignition computer and loom and so far ive been happy with it. Im sure you could find other computers for similar/cheaper prices too. what else are you planning to do with the engine?

I'll get the engine first, then plans will follow.
By the way, how much does a half cut / chopped 180sx or Silvia S13 costs in Australia??.( in Aus$ currency). Back here at my place, Malaysia, it costs abt Aus$900 - 950. But the whole set without EFI system & suspension & brakes & air-cond compressor costs abt Aus$ 200-250.
