Ok, who else thought they had enough fuel to get to the station but then you ran out just before you pulled into the pump?
This just happened to me today in the Datto, and the guage needle wasn't even past the "E"

It fustrates me so much now since my fuel gauge varies after the smallest of things so I'm always at the pump just to be safe

I've run out in the driveway in the commodore
At the pump at the servo a couple of times in the datto..... I thought it was a 35 litre tank not a 30 I ran out driving across the nullabor 2 years ago and managed to roll nearly 1km into the next town right up to the pump at the servo

ive never run out in a datto, in the 3 ive owned, the needle goes waaay below the empty line, but never runs out.
ive come to the conclusion that they just dont need fuel.

The only time I ever ran out of fuel was in my '33 coupe back in 1968.
I managed to pull up to the fuel pump & she died as I reached for the ignition to switch it off. She was a thirsty old girl, but fuel was somewhere about 40 cents a gallon [4.5 L], I was single, & an early 30's coupe with rumble seat was cool, [still is] so it was all worth it. You can view topic.
