id guess H150 for the aussie 120y, they say borgwarner on the bottom of housing, they have a rear cover

it will be a BW if it has a removable cover at the back of the diff

and either a h150 or h145 if it doesnt

BW68

They are pretty strong - ment to be stronger than h165

There will be a metal tag on one of the bolts that holds the cover on. I believe it tells you which type of borg warner, and also the ratio (makes life easy at the wreckers).

I recently put a bw68 from a corolla in my 1200 for the better ratio and wider track :)

was looking at a corolla diff just before, loks to be the same size as coronna and 200b BW diffs

See Rear Axle Swap

There are pictures there:
Quote:
120Y 4-dr sedans and wagons were Australian assembled and had a Borg Warner diff (BW model 68). All were 3.89 ratio, although the 120Y wagon and panelvan might have had a different ratio.

You say the BW KE?? corolla diff is a bolt in, will this bolt up to the BW 1200 tailshaft?

Also I measured my mates Ke30 Wagon, centre of leaf to centre of leaf and it was 10-15mm wider than a 1200. I was thinking the mounting lugs on the leafs are larger in diameter on a corolla and this should allow it to fit anyway. Can anyone verify this?

EDIT, I just read to wookie and it says that you need the 120y BW diff flange and 120y tailshaft, guess i can use the 1200 BW flange!
