G`Day, Oh the KB110 what a clever man mr datsun was. My friend tomba has just bought this 1200 coupe and i think for a good price too($400.00?) he`s just got rego, new disc rotors are next. do you know of any common problems in these cars( rust areas etc)

a lot of the 1200's get rust in the bottom of the front guard where they join to the sill.
I havnt seen any but heard of a couple rusting by the heater.
Just give the car a good once over, if its there you'll find it.

The rust out where the tops of the inner guards meet the firewall, the bottoms of the front guards, the bottoms of the rear gaurds, and underneath the moulding trim on the rear side windows.
Judging by the paint job it may have seen some unethical rust repairs in the past, but it a 1200! So it's well worth keeping and doing up!
