you could also get a numberplate sized box made at a sheety and french it in your tailgate also for about a quater of that price
 just like this but straight andos ute

$25 for steel, labour to get it made, lights, welding it into the tailgate, then grinding it all back so it's smooth?

yeah i think even of you bought this maloo bit you would still have to spend the same money cutting, smoothing and wiring plus pay the $100 for this rather then getting a sheety to make it up.

the way I see it with the maloo one, it sits on the outside of the tailgate, so theres a margin for error in the cutting, then just drill holes and screw it on from the inside, then just move the wiring up from the standard position to the lights that are already in the maloo piece.
I just reckon this you can do yourself, you dont have to be a pro to fit it.
