This is on a Japanese ute, as shown to me by Matbighat.

Makes a lot of sense as an alternative to webers- Especially if you are in a LHD country. They take up about half as much space (room for a master cylinder), sit further away from the exhaust..... and I'm pretty sure most Kei-hin's are CV carbies, so they would give you better economy on the street than webers.

worth thinking about.

No air filters=wank.

A couple of percent power gain at huge risk is a silly equation, even if you are racing (unless you have a good sponsor)

well at least they have large enough trumpets on to stick the socks over. Makes no sense to me either though what they do in Japan, isn't thier pollution problem worse than ours?

My sedans got 40mm Keihins on it. They're different to these as they have diaphragms which pull the needles up.
They work well, the car starts easy when cold and goes well on the track, and they worked out a lot cheaper than Webers.

Hey Dat141 what have you done fuel wise for the quads? Do you still need to gravity feed them as per on the bike? Or will a low pressure elec pump be ok?

I have the earlyer shape ones, 28mm that im going to be putting on a standardish A15

I had one of those little electric fuel pumps from repco mounted under the floor where the back seat used to be, but the fuel pressure would drop off at high revs.
So we mounted another one next to it and made two tee-pieces so they ran parallel to each other.
There's about 6 psi of fuel pressure and they don't flood or anything.

Going to have to go back on this statement to some degree. I had the ute on a dyno today and the ram-flo air filter was robbing me of about 7%!!!! and richening the mixture 0.5 AFR unit

I'll sort things out with a k&N.
