1200 oil pan "interchangeability"?

Hello,
I am in need of an oil pan for a Datsun 1200 motor and am wondering if oil pans from other A-series engines are interchangeable. Any help would be appreciated. Pete pdx.pete@verizon.net

The Datsun 1200 oil pan is interchangeable with the Datsun 1000/ A10 engine, which you never got in the US.
From 1974, the engine was redesigned & the shape of the pan rail on one side was changed, which means that the oil pan from engines with front distributors [A10 & 1200] will not interchange with pans from the newer, rear distributor engines.
