#1 what sway bar?
gx1200 Posted on: 2007/5/7 19:28
Hey there, just wanting to see what sway bars people are using (if any) on the rear of their 1200 sedans?

Any opinions would be appreciated

Cheers. Adam

I dont know, just trying to find out what I can use or what is better for my 2 door sedan. I took it out to Mallala race way on Sunday and the rear was a bit "skatey"

Adam.

EDIT: that was my 500th post

excuse my ignorance but if the rear was "skatey", wouldnt fitting a rear sway bar add to that problem as the rear would be more rigid?

or was the skateyness a result of the bodyroll?

What sort of rear springs do you have adam, also what shocks?

In my opinion, 1200's need to be soft in the rear on the circuit. A good set of springs and no sway bar an you are good to go.

Also stiffen up the front. 20mm bar of a 120y is the goods.

However if you require a rear bar, I used to use an aftermarket "Selby" rear swaybar designated for a 120y wagon rear. 16mm from memory.
