#1 a14 supercharged

hey ppl

i have got a a14 and just acquired a sc14 supercharger of a toyota motor.

Now im just wanting to know if its a good i idea to add it to the engine as the motor is not in the ute yet. And if it is a good idea can the a14 motor handle it.

oh and would there be anything on the engine that would be worth changing if it gets supercharged, im not lookin for big boost. As i have a 13b going in later down the track.

You need to mount the supercharger on the engine to that the rotors of the blower are parralle to the engine crankshaft. You also need to have the blower pulley lines up with the crank pulley in such a way that you can fit a belt. You also need to make a crank pulley set up. Everything you build needs to clear the exhaust and inlet manifolds. As well as the inner guards. You'll need to mount a carburator on the intake side of the blower. Then plumb the outlet into the inlet manifold. Plus it pays to fit a head saver shim between the block and the head to lower the compression. Double valvesprings don't hurt either, especially on the inlet valves.
