Anyone use a 1st gen RX7 rear axle?

I did a search and couldn't find anything. It seems like it might be a good width, has low gearing and LSD's are available.

I know a bloke who has a series 3 rx7 lsd in his supercharged CA18 powered 1200 coupe. Rumour has it, it's beginning to wear out.
