The problem is the shipping on my items are worth the same as my items
I don't mind paying retail prices on the products and not getting a trade discount like I should
But I can't justify the $600-800 frieght they want to charge to get it to me

Unless one of you American friends would like to pick up and send a cheaper way for me :)

I had a similar experience to Niel. I bought approximately $140 US. worth of Datsun 1200 parts. Rock Auto does a pre paid shipping/tax/duty/brokerage thing, for international orders. That came to approx $85 US. For a fairly hefty total ($225) Their parts are great NOS, often Japanese OEM, some I couldn't find elsewhere. The frustrating thing is, If they sent the items to Canada marked "NOS parts for a vehicle over 25 years old", no tax or duty is due. I'm going to contact them directly by phone to see if they're willing to do things differently.
