is it just a grille badge or does it actually sit atop the bonnet? coz if it sits atop the bonnet it would look kinda cool i think!! Then i would get it!! just to b different!!

It's off one of those luxo barge Datsun's, a stand up hood ornament. Would look weird on a 1200 bonnet as it is smaller and has a peak.

Yeah, the obvious question was 'Don't you people talk to each other?' but of course they do since they both work on Kirsty's ute.

This is only part of the whole thing. It mounts in a base & the loop at the bottom of the emblem has a spring in it so that if it's hit for any reason, it will fold back, then pop right back up again. It's pretty much useless without the base unless one is using it as a replacement part for a damaged one.

I had a US Market 810 with that hood emblem :D

u could use the bottom part from a merc three point star bonnet "sight" , it works the same way. probably expensive even second hand tho.

ok now that we know HOW it sits on the Datto, my question nw is that if i could find a base for it do you think it would suit my ute as i want it to be different..but GOOD different if you know what i mean ...i want it to stand out in the crowd!
