gday i am having a catch can and overflow tank welded up as we speak and one thing that needs to be decided upon is a cap for both? my question is for those who have custom catch cans what have they done for caps? and also the block breather pipe as it is 23-25 mm diameter what sort of hose/line did people use? any suggestions/pics would be very helpful
cheers, blake

I really like this cap it is neat and tidy and has a custom made look to it. Included in the pack is the cap and also the threaded part that you just weld to the bottle.

Yeah, I got the cap and the threaded part, from rocket industries (the advertise in the front of street machine magazine) and then made the can up from a piece of aluminium pipe and two flat pieces for the top and bottom.
If you go to your local autobarn or supercheap and ask to have a look through their Rocket catalogue, you should see the different types of caps they offer.

can alloy be welded to aluminium? I am not a metal worker or anything but I am almost positive they are the same thing. The cap on my can is welded to alluminium plate, so I will say yes they can be welded together. Mine is TIG welded.

wicked thankyou for your help in the matter bad310, now to answer sidedraughts question, i would get one with a breather (filter) or just drill holes in the top so that you are not sealing up the engine etc therefore over time the pressure in the crankcase wont build up

Yes you can weld them, in this instance "alloy" means aluminium.
