#1 eventful days like today
frankthedolphintrainer Posted on: 2007/8/27 8:30
well for anybody thats been listening in about my turbo progress heres the info. my day today was kinda up and down and costly. i had the 1200 dyno tuned........ almost. for the worst news first, i found out that im going to have to spend another few hundred on a new fuel pump and regulator, the ones i had are only good for efi...(novice mistake). new carter black pump and malpassi carby rising rate reg arrive tommorrow morning so it will be back in the shop on friday.

as for what they found it runs out of fuel when it hits full boost (13psi with no t) yes you heard it stock boost and its 13 psi. im pretty sure he said that the dyno said it got 69kwatws at 4000 rpm but due to the lack of fuel it couldnt go on. which means the jets havnt even been tuned. so im thinking overall high 70s to low 80s atw, maybe.

the dizzy was found to have about 45 degrees advance total timing...very very bad. the dizzy was regraphed and now runs 8 degrees mechanical advance and 10 static.

so ill give the rest of the infoafter friday hopefully.

You know that you have to run a return line with those rising rate fuel regs aye?
I'd recommend running a new 3/8 line, and using the old 1/4 line as the return.

I've got a buch of larger 32\36 jets if you need them , they're anywhere from 55 to 80 if I remember right

I've been lurking on here with my other computer, I don't log into things as much since the latest version of Firefox has a security hack

Well I do have the old manual- choke 32\36 that's not being used but the main shaft has got play so I didn't want to get rid of it just yet. With the jets too those sizes I said were spose to be 160, 165, etc
