Are the bolt patterns (of the 40mm sidedraught carb) the same between the Weber/dellorto vs Solex/Mikuni?

I've got a round port twin manifold that fits perfect on the head. As soon as I align the carbs the throttle axle on either carby touch putting one or the other out by about 3.5mm.
So if I bolted one on and then went to bolt the second on, the hole allignment would be out by 3.5mm What shall I do to get it to fit?

Chris, what carbs are you using? You could trim a bit off the axle and get a thinner nut, got a pic?

so im guessing your using the standard linkages on some solex carbys? and its the link doover between the 2 carbys that is hitting
you will need to trim them down as they werent designed for the carbys being spaced closer together but if thats not wats happening just ignore what i said
