how much work is it to put a 1200 motor and box into a 1000 ute

wot parts do i need i have motor and box already

also need 4 speed for my 1000 email me at iian1@hotmail.com i live in cambelltown nsw

i would have thought it was exactly the same fit as the 1000 motor

i dont know i have only had my 1000 for about 2 months and on road for 3 weeks dont know too much about the dattos

The 1200 A12 will go straight in, the 120Y and Sunny A12 has the engine mounts moved.

The 1000 clutch mechanism is different and will need changing to a 1200 type.

it depends what motor and box you have. there is an early 1200 motor out of datsun 1200's and there is a late 1200 motor that came in some 1200 utes and 120y's.

mounts are different. also if you have a box why do you want another one? i have a spare 1000 box but i am in melbourne

with the 1000 box if i can get one ill get the 1200 worked and superchaged by a friend and then do the conversion i use the car to go to work and the wife dosnt like me take her car
