blue rooster on fender

Hi. I've got 73 b110 (sunny?) fastback coupe and on the front fenders it has a picture of a blue bird on a wheathervane. It looks like a rooster. Is this supposed to be on the car? Or did the previous owner paint it on? I'm sort of new to the 1200. I've been looking at pictures of fenders online and I can't find any info on this. I'm going to replace the fenders because they're rusty and I was just wondering about the icon. Any ideas? thanks!

I vote for painted on by previous owner. Never seen that on US models.

Yes, let's see a picture. If it is a Nissan graphic it would be shame to paint over it.

My coupe has this pink stipe and purple swizly bit at the end of it, it was factory. You know what's funny about that? at work a few months ago I saw a 1999 commodore with the exact same thing on it!! GM raiding the archives or what
