tracking someone down via there number plate?

is it possible to find someone or more so them and there car via there numberplate?

That would be good to know, I dont really want someone finding my car because I didnt edit the photo and take out the plate numbers...

The reason i would like to know is because there is a 1200 coupe in alright nick with guards mirrors around wagga that i would like to find and see if i could snatch it up of the owner.

couldnt you go to the rta and get them to do it and just say they hit and run you and you want to get insurance out of them?

no you cant get the details legally
if you say that to the RTA i think they get that person to contact you

The way i got my sedan was by just leaving notes under the window wiper when it was parked asking them too contact me if they wanted to sell their car. I think the rang me after the 2nd or third note! :)
otherwise just do what a mate did as soon as you spot it follow them around until they stop. They have to stop eventually. I just wouldn't recommend that if your low on gas! Nick You can view topic.
