#1 My poor car just got stolen...
Astro_Boy Posted on: 2007/11/13 7:21
Hey guys, jsut wanted to post a message for help/advice... my poor Ute got stolen last night/today... It was at my mechanics workshop to get the breaks fixed and get the rotors changed - I think one of the apprentices forgot to put it in the workshop last night and they just realised this afternoon it was missing...

So if anyone sees a Shiny Blue '73 Ute with sparkles and silver racing stripes floating around, please let me know (0403 198 444! Or call the cops...

My hope of finding her in one piece is pretty slim, but I already miss that car... It's been a part of me for over 4 years now and well basically I'm shattered...

P.S.. If anyone offers you guys parts and they seem a little shifty... could you let me know? Any help would be great!

thats crap as, even if they are liable for the loss of it the money just wouldnt make the difference.

Hey man, Sorry to hear that. There's alot of it going on lately.

Hopefully you have a win and see it again. Just make sure nothing suspect was going on with the workshop.

All the best matey.

thats fkd mate, I went out to some of the usual car dumping spots (kambah pool, point hut) and it wasnt there.
I hope it gets found in one piece.

I'm heading in (on a bus) to the workshop tomorrow to talk to them about it in person...

I don't really know who's at fault here, and the money was never the issue with that car, the insurance would never pay me what i spent on it... It's just that I'm so attached to it.

I don't think my insurance would cover it with the keys sitting in it...

im wa its illegal to leave keys in the car and be more than 3 metres away .
every shop has a duty of care leaving the keys in the car would breach that duty of car . ,have the cops done been to the shop? i would take them to court, i feel you would win if the keys where in the car

Thats #### mate, I was checkin out your car the other day on the net, was looking forward to when I get mine, so I could come down and go for a cruse with you guys.

I will post a pic of the ute in the local nissan myspace page...

Like perthute said, I would take the shop to court, talk to a lawyer and see what he says... I got a feeling that law about the keys in the ignition is also applicable in NSW, so check it out...

And if you find the pricks, I'm sure that there is a lot of Datto owners that would love to remove there limbs...
