#1 FS: Fully worked A15 to sell complete or in bits.
Ronald Posted on: 2007/12/3 7:52
Yehp thats right, its time for the race engine to go. i just get sick of swapping plugs and paying for fuel driving this race bred A15 on the road, so its time for it to go.

the engine was built by Jeff Taylor and Converted a few years ago now and since i got my hands on it it has had a very easy life...

engine has:

JTS fully race ported and polished head with oversized valves and race spec valve stem seals also double valve springs.

54/86 cam shaft

11.5:1 compression

new gaskets, seals (replaced about 30 mins of engine life ago)

Weber 40DCOE carbies on an oval port manifold to suit. these carbies are mint too!!! all jets were chosen by Converted and Jeff and every carby joint i've asked about the jet size they always say the ones in there are perfect.

Engine isnt quite complete however:
comes without engine mounts, distributor (i can put a standard one in but i wouldnt recommend anything else other than jeff taylors high energy setup) and has no mech fuel pump (altho an electric one comes with it to suit)

the police attention and the lack of legality of me (a victorian p plater) driving such a modified engine has also helped me make this heart wrenching decision.

open to offers on seperate parts or the whole engine for $2000. drop me a pm.

Thanks
Ronald

Does it come with Headers?

How many KM's roughly have you put on it since its been a streeter?

Why doesnt it come with the dizzy setup?

cheers

Did'nt this engine give you a bit of a headache after it was transported to you from converted's home? What was the problem that time?

Why don't you de-tune it to suite your use and sell the parts that was removed.

yeh i had a bit of a headache with it....

it turned out to be the ignition system though.

i'm keeping the distributor because i can put that back in the old engine for an instant increase, and no it doesnt have headers because they are also on the old engine again.

Sold head, carbies and flywheel.

Still to go: Block with high comp pistons.
Also lots of other parts that i have that may be of interest for people missing a few little bits.
