What gains can be made by taken the 3 leaf springs off a 120 y 4 leaf rear spring assembley.
Then removing the 2 leafs off the main leaf of a 1200 (coupe) and fitting the 3 from the 120 y spring assembley. Will this firm up the rear end? I want to firm up the rear end in the 1200 coupe but retain the original ride height. I do not want to lower the vehicle.

i found doing that with the 120y extra springs on my rally/daily 1200 some years ago actually raised the rear of the 1200 and created understeer (both road and dirt driving)
I quickly went back to stock springs i actually converted my 1200 ute to coupe springs and found that much better for handeling and traction for the ute (A15ETT) in my experience i havent been able to improve upon the 1200 coupe springs as standard, although stiffer shocks may be all you need?

Thanks 1200rallycar
Im happy with the stock ride height and if it went up 10mm that would great as it would then match the front end. Gould point with the shocks. Overlooked that. Will talk to suspension shop in new year.

I got KINGS in the rear of mine, a heap better than the reversed main spring system i got the car with and handles a heap better.
The KING spring rear has the tramp sping aswell. These appear to compliment my ISC 4Kg coilover front end very well. Around $300pair, i got them from Brownsplains Autobarn Qld where my brother works.
