Is there any pistons from a turbo vechile that fit the A15. As i've found a guy running TX3 turbo pistons but has been bored out to 1590.
Any info would be good as don't have the money for forged pistons so I thought pistons from a turbo would be the next best thing. These are going to be used in my A15 turbo Rally car, would like to be running about 13-14 Psi but would be build to be reilable.

You can afford a turbo rally car, but not a set of pistons. Ummmmm, OK.
Realistically, if boring the engine out & using the TX3 pistons is not an option, then forgings in the size that you need would seem to be the remaining option. Check with the various piston manufacturers in the US to see what they have to offer, or better yet, contact Mike from B Projects in Australia. He's always very helpful. Look under 'Members' for Dundee1000.

From what I've read and been told, mazda pistons can be made to fit an A15, but you need to deck the block, to get the piston to reach The deck height. (Pistons have a lower crown height) If you worked out how far down the bore you wanted the piston to come, you could deck the block less than what a person building an N/A motor might, and gain lower compression. Although this technique does reduce squish and swirl, it has to be better than using a head saver shim. (I really dont have much faith in their ability to seal under extreme conditions)
