Gday all. I am wanting to remove the rear window from my 1200 ute. Before I jump in head first and break/damage something I would like to know a easy way to do it.

I dont want to break the glass or damage the seal. Any usefull help will, as always, be greatly appreciated

i just used 2 screw drivers the windows have a fair amount of flex. well it worked for me front and back

How about installing it, just do the opposite.

cant really help on puting it back in but yeah i would say just do the oposite youll need some window goop aswell. i think supa crap sells window getter outa thingies for 20 bucks or so, but screwies worked sweet.

one screw driver lifts the window away from the rubber the other puishes the rubber to the other side (like puting a tyre on)

Cheers dude. Since your on a question answering roll how about an easy method to removing tint. I plan on using a stanley blade and elbow grease

With a stanley blade make sure its brand new and use some water with it to keep from scratching the glass.

got no idea i would say use the blade to start the tint off then it should pull off as a sheet hopefully, all i know is it can be a bi7ch to get off

hi there if its only tint u want of u dont need to take the window out just use the blade around the edge cheers

to take out i used a couple of flat screwys, but carefully pushed the seal back out over the lip most of the way around until it came out easy.
to put back in, get some of that yellow and blue rope, stuff it into the seal, sit the glass back into place, get inside the car and pull the rope through. as you pull on it it will bring the rubber back over the lip.
