datsun 1000 motor questions

i was looking at my 2 a10s and noticed a set of numbers one 180 and the other 181 what do they mean, why are they diferent? could it have somethin to do with the year it was cast or where it was cast? can anyone aswer the questions?

180: B10
181: VB10 (van/wagon) Now, this does not necessarily mean the 2nd engine came from a wagon. See Nissan Part Numbers for more details.
