Hi Frode,

The best way is to fit shorter strut inserts, and cut the strut housing. Then you will have full suspension travel.

Here is USA, we just cut a 1/2 coil or even full coil to lower a 1200. We haven't had any problems with the Datsuns. This is commonly done for all cars. In Australia it is not only illegal but apparently the springs break sometimes. So only try this if you have non-Australia springs.

Cutting the spring lowers the car, but also reduces the suspension travel.

In Australia we do this too. Never had a problem.
Common sense tells the spring must always be held captive. Shorter inserts well provide this.

Thank you guys for the quick replys,
do you know of any aftermarket supplyers that produce lowering springs for this car?
because its illegal to cut the coils in norway too, and the car has to pass an inspection every other year.
Is it possible to get polyurethan bushings or similar?
and i also heard that the front swaybar from a 120y will fit directly to the original mounts on my car, is this true?

Yes, yes and yes.

Most spring companies can make the springs you need. Polyurethane bushings are available in Australia. 120Y swaybar fits and is slightly larger diameter.

Try to find a swaybar from -74 or -75 B210 with 12" wheels. Original B110 swaybar is 16mm in diameter while B210 swaybar is 20mm. In my opinion that's pretty much maximum for normal driving on public roads.

I have always shortened the original wet inserts on the front struts I have used.
I believe there are previous posts on this forum of what shorter inserts can be used in different struts
