hey guys motor reg in s.a will let me have a L16 in a 1200. i want to turbo the L16 using a stock nissan ECU (easy and cheap to wireup). the only nissan SOHC turbo engines that i know of are the Z18ET and the CA18SOHC turbo but they use a 8 plugged dizzy. if i were to fit the dizzy and ecu stuff on the L16T could i get away with only using 4 of the 8 dizzycap outputs? or would it be bad to run E15et ecu on a turbo L16, would it lean it out to much because its 100 cc bigger.i know alot of u say why but i have my reasons.

Sparks go off in pairs so use one terminal of each pair
may be a cap/rotor that suits same housing off another car
or put guts in L16 dissy
ECU doesnt care where you get the signal so long as it gets one

You are on the right track, but I'd consider using a new nissan ecu setup and make it a bit more tuneable.

I've covered an example of using a CA18DET ecu on an L/Z series motor here
