With mine I just bought an adapter plate and bolted it straight on used throttle parts off original carbie easy as that

That's what I did but the cable used to slip out all the time and besides pissing me off it happened at some dangerous times. My solution was to buy a redline throttle cable ( the $50 one) that takes a ball type connection at one end and modified it to suit another rocker cover which I had a bracket welded on to. I don't have any pics of it on this other pc of mine so I'll get some later

all i do to stop it slipping its use the original carbys bracket to hold the outer cable inplace. Everything from the A series carb is interchangeable except for the internal workings etc pretty much!

what about re-building these carbs? anyone got any tips? I have 3 of them but they've all been sitting in the shed for years!
And how do they rate performance wise compared to su's?

Yeh i had that problem too nismo. I just got a 10c spring from a auto shop and hooked it onto the air cleaner(ramflo). You could muck around and make a fancy mount but meh.

Compared to SU... I would say SUs would flow better. Depends on your setup really, headwork etc. I run a 32/36 because i was given one.

Yeah some people hate webers but I like them, they're simple as piss and it's only when you've broken it that you should start to worry or get annoyed
