Adjusting Boost on standard CA18DET

To get my CA coupe registered the WA Liscense/Transport Department require the vehicle to generate no more than 5 psi of boost.
Im jumping through the hoops to get this car on the road, so Im not arguing or debating this issue. I know how to up the boost, but how do you go about dropping the boost to 5psi on a stock motor with factory ECU? Do you swap the waste gate actuator? Where do you get one that will fit the T25 and open the wastegate at 5 psi? Or can you trick the system? Cheers

if you take the bar off the wastgate actuator then you''ll get no boost mine poped off one day and still drove fine
but how can he tell wat boost your running ? ( get rid of your boost gauge) ca18dets stock should projuce 7 or 8 psi , you can get more boost from a high flow air filter so maybe try clogging the intake/ air filter

Getting a T28 wastegate (larger one) should maintain boost at 4-5psi. It will require new brackets and/or pushrods mods.
I'd move to a different state.. those restrictions are downright gay. (sorry to the gays who might take offence). You can view topic.
