i didn't need to change the diff flange, yes it needs to be shortened, and remove the front yoke cover

dont understand people always wanting to shorten one....
my tailshaft guy charges $200 to make one from scratch... if you have flanges (doesnt seem to charge much more at all even without flanges) why get one shortened... it's just a tube of metal... put a new one in thats all nice and balanced

they are talking about tailshafts, not diffs
on the subject of CA tailshafts, does anyone ever search for yokes with bigger unis like say a manual R31 tailshaft or do the 4 cylinder L series unis stand up to the punishment fine?

What i don't understand is naming a wrecking yard "You Pull It" and them getting upset when you call them a wanker.

Yeah all auto A-series/Auto and manaul l-series boxes have the same yoke as the ca gearbox.
They are pulling themselves over some of the prices at the moment! I did well the other day though, L20b cam/rocker arms and pads , arms and pads in toolbox and I thought bugger that $40 for a cam, told them it was a conrod and got it for $11. You can view topic.
