When I was talking about brakes for mine the workshop doing my ute told me they would, but I said that I wanted something bigger.

Did for my 1200 Coupe. Because they were bigger than stock and required no mods, and used stanza drums on rear.

Complete brake upgrade from larger, heavier, more hp vehicle and the engineer liked this.

However better brakes are out there and on the east coast you guys have so much less red tape.

I have spoken to my engineer here in Melbourne.
He said If I used the same sized brakes as the car the engine came out of (180SX) then I don't even need a 'certified' brake test for the engineers certificate.

He said - anything smaller would be acceptable, however a brake test would be needed at an additional $300 -$400.

And to my knowledge, down here in VIC as long as the car can stop from 100km's p/h in a specific distance. It's okay.

crzy_1200_ute,
You got the Maddat set up havn't you?
struts, brakes and all?

If so, was there a big improvement over the S13 brakes? (is that what you had before)
