Hi, I have been reading lot of info available on the forums but still have some question.
I am fitting a CA18det in my ute. I have the engine with i got from a member on this site but looking to get a gear box to suit.

1. For a ute the stumpy gearbox converstion is the simplest to fit but the stumpy box is very hard to find. The tunnel need to be massaged for it to fit. Which area/areas do I need to massage....

2. The Gazzelle or S3 Bluebird gear box will bolt up to the CA18. I know these are not stronge boxes but where does the gear stick pop up. Does the tunnel need to modified.

3. The S13 gear box is there a big difference in turbo and non turbo and how do I tell the difference between the two. The tunnel needs to modified but is it only where the selector is.

I have read that people have massage S13 gear box tunnel to fit the S13 gear box.

The engine is going to be stock. I am not after a 10 second dato, just something I can have fun with.
