L-Series 5 speed gearbox to an A-series Engine! Is it possible?

I have the chance of buying a 5 speed gearbox from datsun 280c. Is it possible to bolt it up in the A14 engine?

It could be made to fit. But there would be a fair amount of engineering involved.

Yeah back in the day Oges used to fit them up to his A series speedway car before he made it an L series speedway car......then a CA 18 speedway car.
