Yep, that engine should be good for around 80HP, quite an upgrade from 69 HP stock, around 15% more power.

just put a 45 thou lift race cam in it... it starts to get power at 3000rpm... then she HOOKS! omg now to get the exhaust system done and put the 32/36 weber on her... and shes better than a gx engine now!

Thats a bold statement.GX engines are rather good out of the box for a factory item. Also to take advantage of your "race Cam", the engine would want to be rather top end spec. e.g induction, head work, compression, spark and exhaust. Typically "Race" cams come on around 5000+ and are peaky. Gearbox ratios would also need to be close to take advantage of the short power band and not land you in a hole on the change of gear. If the power kicks in around 3000+, sounds like more of a 72 - 74 degree FIA datsun rally grind, much better for pull [torque] out of slow corners at lower RPM's Best of luck with it.

update on my 1200... got tuned extractors to a 2inch exhaust to a muffler... its way 2 loud so im going 2 have 2 put a hot dog on her. she has twin dellorto's dhla 40's on a redline manifold. got double valve springs in her now but it keeps blowing the fuse in the voltage regulator at around 7000 rpm so that's annoying. oh the cams a 140 grind. all i gotta do now is get the head ported and polished fairly large to accommodate for the cam's high reving power.
