#1 where to get CA valve stem seals
PIGDOG Posted on: 2009/3/13 1:21
go the head on my CA was bent....took it to my engine builder friend to get it fixed and hes said that the valve stem seals were ####ed, which i figured they would be

went to my normal parts place and they dont have a part number for the valve stem seals, and nissan geelong is useless

so just wondering where else i could be able to them from?

does anyone remember if they are part of a full VRS kit? I know they were for the A series....and have a feeling they were for CA too.

Check this out - AA Gaskets/Permaseal P/Ns

I Just had mine done at Hoppers Crossing Cylinder Heads.
They do a fair bit of Nissan stuff including CA's
I did supply mine because I got them in the gasket kit,
but I was after a set of head bolt washers (over a month wait from Nissan and $7.80 each x 10)
I Rang Hoppers Heads and they said 'Too easy... come and grab em' (free)!
Long story short - I'm sure they could help you out.

Otherwise:
Ajusa Part No. 336-RV (Valve stem seal set)

Intake valve oil seal Jan 1991 - Dec 1998 13207-84A00 NDK
Intake valve oil seal Jan 1991 - Dec 1998 13207-D4201 NOK

I don't know what NDK or NOK means..but both numbers are in the Nissan FAST parts catalog under CA18det S13.

I'd refer to the 13207-D4201 if I was taking a guess.

The RB25det uses the same seals 13207-D4201

yeah already got a genuine headgasket, cam seals. inlet and exhaust gaskets so dont really want to go buying a VRS kit just for the stem seals

might just talk to my mate thats doing the head and see if he can get some, but think he said he could only get the vrs kit

still no luck with oil lines, second person to say they had them....second person to just decide to not respond fter a couple of pms
some ppl just deserve a punch in the mouth for wasting my time

so who wants to hear a joke???

ordered some CA valve stem seals from the local bursons using that permaseal part number
went in today to pick them up and my mate behind the counter said the price would be $120....and that they had a list price of $180. for 16 valve stem seals...non genuine valve stem seals
he was even thinking they should be around $50, so check the part umber numerous time with the same result

then figured for that price a vrs kit might be the better option, list price on that is $250

so thought id be best to just leave bursons and try else where.
went to the guy thats doing the heat, told him what was going on, he also thought that was damn expensive for valve stem seals so he made some calls
first place he called obviously quoted the same price as bursons as his responce to them was "oh they are that bad are they"
so called another place that had a listing for CA18de....$40 plus gst WINNER
