hey guyz...im new and owned a B310 sedan wif a15 and wanna ask some silly Q?..ur reply n consideration r much appreciated..

currently im using dgav32/36 on my a15 and it runs great...recently i had a dcoe40 for a quiet cheap bargain..it comes with an intake for A series and its oval port..my Q? is..

1. if i install a dcoe40 on my stock a15,do i have to mod the cams???why??

2. if i just install it without running any mild cams can it run smoothly or i just play with the jetts to suit my engine need??

3. is there any modification that i need to do if i wanted to install dcoe40??

thank a million..

There are 2 sorts of a-series intake bolt pattern. Make sure it fits.

There are two sorts of oval port heads, and the traditional round port head too.

You don't need a cam to take advantage of webers.

hey bud
you dont have too mod the cams at all if you dont want 2 but i think its a good excuse for some better mods haha

You dont need any other mods to run a DCOE40, even Twin DCOE40's it just means that without the minimum of a small cam and header&exhaust you really wont get the benefit of the 40's though it will make a loverly difference...

As far as drivability, a properly setup DCOE40 is perfectly smooth and easy to use, I run Dual race prepped DCOE40's on my A15 and I think its even nicer to use than it was with the stock carb, I also get 15-17km/L when driving it normaly, driving it hard I get 11-12km/L which isnt bad at all when you consider its over 120hp!

i got some prob now....

1. while on 1st and 2nd gear(launching), step on throttle nearly to WOT is like a burden to the engine....a pop sound often sounds and its like not enuff fuel for my weber to deliver to the engine...3rd,4th and final gear no prob and it runs smoothly...why is this happen???
