#1 Ute rear shock mounts
jeffery Posted on: 2009/5/19 11:21
I am just after a bit of info on the ute rear shock mounts... I am currently doing a r31 diff conversion and have had the diff shortened and redone and the guy that did the diff also made some new rear shock/ u bolt brackets up. Now he has made a few before aparently and has never had a different set. But my rear shock mounts had a thicker and longer bolt to hold the shock, are there 2 different styles of rear shock mounts? Have had the mount remade and sorted it out but the diff guy would like to know so that in the future he can know which mount to make??

If the shocks does not bottom out or goes to much out on no load, I do not see a difference.

utes are 15mm, coupes & sedans are 12mm bottom shock bolts
if that helps

To be more clear: H145 utes (1971-1973) use the 12mm bolts, just like coupe. H165 utes (1974-up) use the larger bolts.

Is that right?
