Well, after a 3 month trial I am prepared to show you something pretty cool.

I made these rubber floors for my car and they are quite durable.

I trialed them to make sure they did not get gouged,

What I did was I made the transmission tunnel first then traced the existing floor mats with a razor onto the rubber material. The floor mats overlap the tunnel mat. The stuff is plyable and very easy to cut and it deadens alot of the road noise. Also it removes just as easy as the factory mats for cleaning.

After all was done I got this




And this is what I used, hey it works and it is cheap.

Looks good. And you can wash it off with the garden hose. I hear some the the new cars have something similar.
