you can with a supercharger but i dont see the point ... if you build a motor for boost you will need boost all the time

Hi perthute

Your answer is not much clear for me , i am not having much knowledge about turbo, what i wanted to ask is can you on and off turbo just simply by a control switch while you are driving ?

thanks

with what perth ute says you can set up a "boost controller" which adjusts the ?wastegate? (please correct if wrong) to open up at different boost pressures

Hi aidaniel

OK, Now it is clear , is it possible to stop the boost completely ? or you get some controlled levels of boost to select ?

thanks

the waste gate has a lowest setting eg factory (say 6psi )
using a boost controller your tricking the factory waste gate into making more boost but imo you cant go lower unless you unhook the rod that goes to the waste gate
click there so see the rod im talking about

i guess your not aloud to have a turbo with the new laws for p platers ? and your beeing clever buy trying to turn off the turbo ?

A clutched supercharger would give you on off capability. or maybe have a throttle body in your bost line with a central locking actuator might work.

Sumith what is the car in your avatar?
by the way a supercharger is what you need.
