I can get a a12 head cheap with carby and extractors , was just wondering wether its worth wacking it on my a15 to give it some high compression , run the extracters along with a weber 32/36. is there any modifying to be done to get it to fit , or any complications that is stoping me from doing it?

Is the head from a early A12 (1200 or 1200 ute) or from a later 74+ (120y, 1200 ute, sunny)?

If you plan on running the engine only up to 3500 RPM this will be a good swap. The A12 small ports will keep air flow high, resulting in extra torque (low RPM horsepower) and good throttle response.
You will lose compression as the A12 chambers are larger than the A15 chambers. The A15 has has large dish in the pistons rather than large CC chambers. A14 and A15 always use the long pushrods, regardless of which head you fit.
