Modded A15 problem

Engine Specs
Nissan Vanette C20 A15 1500cc Australia Regrind Cam 270⁰ 6.5mm Lift (Stock 240⁰ 5.5mm) Skimmed Head 0.5mm Wider Valve Angle (3⁰ - 5⁰) Std valve clearance spec (Cold 0.30mm) Fuel System Twin Dellorto DHLA 4 wif Trumpet 32mm choke 33 Pump jet 200 main air bleed 7727.7 Emulasion Tube 135 Main Jet 7850.3 Idle air corrector 50 Idle jet Japan Fuel Pump 4psi (Build in regulator) Ignition System MSD Blast 2 Racing Coil Performance Plug Cable (Low Resistance 2k ohms) NGK Platinum plugs A15 Electronic Dizzy Ignite at 12⁰ BTDC without vacuum port Exhaust System A15 4-2-1 Extractor 1.6” Piping 2 Center bullet Rimus Muffler Im having some problems.... 1)when i part throttle, the engine sound like nosedive below 2.5k rpm.(No prob after tat) 2)Then engine cant rev past 6k rpm.(expected above 7k rpm) Pls help... Thanks in advance....

1. Smaller idle jet, even with 45's I idle pig rich, also check that ballance is spot on between carbs.
2. Valve springs, you need more seat pressure. And I agree the strut tops are awsome! just what I need now!

But 270 cam will coz nosedive rite? 2)Wat kinda valve spring tat i can buy from junkyard?? :P The strut tops were so rare in Malaysia... Tats the 1st 1 i saw when i bought it... Btw i think my engine sound like pings at low-mid rpm even i retard it... I cant really confirm the sound coz it also sound like those twin...

1. I run a 296deg and its perfectly smooth, only down side is a slight lope under 1200rpm, over 1200 its as smooth as stock with a loverly powerband from 5000-8500
2. GX dual valve springs will help

Im thinking of stock spring from other engine like mayb L16 or etc??
I scare those hard spring will wear off my regrind cam...(not sure bout tat) Low budget spring i mean... Thanks...

you'l need heavyer spings to make the best of your cam otherwhise its a bit of a waist. for much over the 6000 rpm mark you will need doubles.. allthough I hav heard of some racers who arent allowed to use doubles useing Haley davidson springs and allso buick V6 springs.

Is single spring good enough or i must use the double 1???
Any other engine's single valve spring(heavier) tat i can use??

Rather go double on any performance 8valve a 16valve head is another story there the valves are about half the weight and you can get away with one spring. On the 8 valve the valves just become to heavy. Anyway that the way I figure it to be.
